October Update

Greetings,

In this email:

*** This Sunday, Qigong and Meditation retreat at MA Center
*** November 8th, Qigong and Meditation at FBU (8 CEUs)
*** Thailand Journey in January, 2009 (40 CEUs)

I hope everyone is enjoying the Fall. With the cooler weather, and changing light, we may begin noticing our own energy start to pull inwards, and slow down from the fervent activity of summer... But then again, this is Silicon Valley...

Fall has been an exciting time for me, and I'm really enjoying teaching classes at Five Branches University as well as diving deeper into the study of acupuncture and herbology. What a perfect blend!

Some upcoming events on the Qigong calendar include:

This Sunday, I'll lead a Qigong and Meditation retreat at MA Center. This will include deep relaxation and restoration with the gentle and soothing practices of sitting meditation and movement Qigong. We may even be graced by special guest Jaire who leads a wonderful sound healing meditation - that is still TBD. All in all, it will be a day of deep calm and peace, as we experience the meditative arts in the healing space of the main temple.

Later this Fall, on November 8th, I'll lead a Qigong and Meditation workshop at Five Branches University. We'll experience the healing and transformative practices of ancient China for health maintenance and health restoration; affecting the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual body. We'll integrate these multidimensional realms of human experience into a practice that can be taken home and applied daily. For those who have taken Medical Qigong classes from me before, this can serve as an excellent review of the material. Therefore, new and former participants are welcome!

And finally, our big upcoming adventure in Thailand includes a 10 day journey, filled with Medical Qigong (40 CEUs) and Thai Massage, all in an enchantingly lush and tropical atmosphere. I will teach the Qigong portion, which includes the Level 01/ P1 material plus other relevant practices. Thai Massage will be instructed by a local from the Tao Garden (Mantak Chia's resort) where we'll be staying. This trip is hosted by Five Branches University.
